Seashell Study No.1 celebrates the extraordinary patterns, curves and textures created by nature.

Originally painted by hand in watercolour, this delicate shell study uses a restrained palette of rich indigo and soft blue to capture the sculptural form and intricate markings of a seashell found along the coast.

Part of my Coastal Collection, the artwork was inspired by the small natural treasures we discover beside the sea — weathered pebbles, shells and marine life, each shaped by nature and completely individual.

The simplicity of the composition and generous white space give Seashell Study No.1 a fresh, contemporary feel, while the traditional watercolour technique preserves the character and subtle imperfections of the original painting.
