Little Gatherings No. 3 | Original Mixed-Media Acorn Artwork

A gathering of small things, made into something entirely individual.

Little Gatherings No. 3 is an original three-dimensional artwork created from individual acorn cups, carefully arranged by hand into a delicate circular form.

Finished in warm tones of copper and soft gold and suspended beneath a simple hand-formed bow, each tiny element retains its own natural shape, texture and imperfection.

No two Little Gatherings will ever be quite the same.

Little Gatherings No. 3

There is something lovely about the small things we find in nature — the things we might pick up on a walk, keep in a pocket, or simply stop for a moment to notice.

Little Gatherings is a series of original artworks inspired by those often-overlooked natural treasures.

For No. 3, individual acorn cups have been collected, selected and arranged by hand into a loose circular gathering. Their naturally textured exteriors contrast with interiors finished in rich copper and golden tones, catching the light and bringing a subtle warmth to the piece.

A delicate hand-shaped wire bow completes the composition, giving the gathering the feeling of something collected, tied and treasured.

Because the natural materials vary in shape, size and texture and every composition is created individually by hand, each Little Gatherings artwork is a true one-off original.

No prints. No reproductions. Just one piece, made once.

Framed and ready to display

Little Gatherings No. 3 is presented in a contemporary square box frame, allowing the depth, shadows and natural textures of the artwork to become part of the composition.

The generous white space surrounding the piece gives it a quiet, gallery-like quality, while the deep frame protects the three-dimensional elements without flattening their character.

A new Little Gatherings series

I would definitely introduce the wider series on the product page, because it gives you the opportunity to create more without making No. 3 feel like a standalone experiment.

Small things. Gathered differently.

Little Gatherings is an evolving series of one-of-a-kind artworks celebrating the shapes, textures and tiny details found in the natural world.

Each begins with a collection — seeds, shells, pods, acorns or other found natural forms — before the individual pieces are brought together into a new composition.

Every gathering is different.

Every piece is original.

And when one is gone, that particular gathering is gone too.
